Event Details

In addition to our standard suite of instructional design services, UFIT’s Center for Instructional Technology & Training will continue to offer Course Development Cohorts during the Fall 2021 semester. These cohorts are a great option for faculty who want to begin designing and developing Spring 2022 courses and who enjoy the collegiality and peer learning available in small groups.

Cohorts are comprised of up to 10 faculty who meet weekly with an instructional designer (ID). Cohorts typically include activities such as reflections on learning outcomes and teaching, engagement, and assessment strategies, along with demos for a range of learning tools. Faculty also have access to individual conversations with the ID, who guides faculty through various exercises to prepare for the upcoming semester and offers feedback and suggestions on course content and assessment design, as well as the incorporation of technology to meet instructional goals. Each cohort is designed to fit participants’ needs and interests.

The course development cohort is an excellent way to build community and engage with faculty across disciplines. Instructors can request participation in an upcoming cohort via the online sign-up form (requires UF log in).
