Peer mentoring can offer great opportunities for practicing empathy, developing a sense of equity and growing your expertise. Peer mentoring relationships may have more longevity and may be experienced as one-on-one relationship or in a group.

Reverse mentoring, also known as “upward mentoring”, refers to an initiative that flip-flops the traditional mentoring relationship. The goal is to take advantage of the fresh perspective of younger employees and develop a more senior person’s knowledge on technology, social media, and current trends. Both mentoring models have many benefits.
