When I would email him questions he would respond within a few hours and was always ready to help more. At the end of the semester he gave each student a farewell gift (which really meant a lot). At the beginning of the semester Professor Martins had asked us what was the spark that drove us to be where we are today, and during the final class he left us by saying to never give up until our spark had been completed.
