Vincent Vatter, Ph.D.
Professor
Department of Mathematics
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
" Thank you Professor Vatter for being so kind and caring throughout the entire semester! Your lectures were amazingly clear and made me appreciate the facets of real analysis. I appreciate your very relaxed attitude that made mathematics seem less intense and stressful than usual. Also, your office hours were extremely helpful and helped me grasp all the material that we covered. It’s obvious that you really care about each of your students and want them to develop mathematical maturity!"

"Thank you Professor Biswas for truly caring about each of your students! You were very accommodating all semester and I appreciated the nighttime exam review sessions and extra office hours you held. I found it extraordinary that you learned everyone’s name by the end of the semester even in a large lecture hall style class. Your lectures were among the most engaging and passionate that I’ve ever seen. In my eyes, you’re UF’s equivalent of Richard Feynman or Walter Lewin. You’re truly amazing and inspire me to continue on with physics!"

"Thank you for your enthusiasm and flexibility throughout the semester. For an abstract and difficult subject, your lectures were helpful and you managed to project that interest onto all of us."
Instructional Associate Professor
Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
College of Engineering
"Thank you for the not-boring lectures, productive conversations, and, most importantly, for readily giving us feedback while still valuing our perspectives. As someone who's been generally unsure of their place in this major, your class made it seem worth it, and with your ability to take our feedback I can trust that it will continue to improve!"

" Thank you for putting in an unmatched effort into making sure your class was innovative and diverse and would give us space to grow. I don't think I've had a teacher before who has so readily implemented our feedback and valued our opinions so much. Through assignment woes, I managed to gain a bit of confidence, which was a win."

" Profesor Martins has been a great inspiration for the whole class. His style of teaching shows how much he cares about each student success. This class has been one of my favorite ones ever taken at UF and without a doubt it has been because of profesor Martins."
-Kevin Marti, Fall 2021
"Professor Martins always kept the class entertaining. With his magic tricks and videos during lectures there was never a dull moment. He really left an impact on what it means to be an educator. When I would email him questions he would respond within a few hours and was always ready to help more. At the end of the semester he gave each student a farewell gift (which really meant a lot). At the beginning of the semester Professor Martins had asked us what was the spark that drove us to be where we are today, and during the final class he left us by saying to never give up until our spark had been completed. College can be a very tough time and Prof. Martins really made my first semester of college complete, and definitely added to my "spark"!"

"Professor Martins goes above and beyond to make his class fun and meaningful for all his students. The passion he had for his subject caused me to easily be more invested in the material, making it a lot easier to learn. From his efficient teaching methods to his amazing magic tricks, Dr. Martins is the best professor I have ever had."
