This Fall CTE will be hosting our first reading group lead by Claudia Cornejo Happel!

Interactive Workshop: Foundations for Success: Defining Critical Teaching Behaviors for Student Learning
9/16 | 2:00-3:00pm ET
In person at 302 Tigert Hall

In this interactive session, participants will explore the CTB framework through case studies, dialogue, and reflection. Together, we’ll consider how different teaching approaches support varied definitions of success, identify promising strategies for classroom practice, and begin building a shared language for teaching at our institution. This session also serves as the launch of a faculty book study, offering continued opportunities to apply and expand on these ideas in collaboration with colleagues.

Reading Group Meeting Times Fall 2025: 9/30, 10/21, 11/4, 12/2 | 3:00-4:00pm ET

What teaching practices best support student success—and how can we capture and communicate those practices with confidence and clarity?

This four-part faculty reading group offers a collaborative space to explore Critical Teaching Behaviors: Defining, Documenting, and Discussing Good Teaching. The book synthesizes decades of research into a practical framework that highlights the teaching behaviors linked to student learning and success. Through guided discussion and reflection, participants will examine how these behaviors show up in their own courses, share strategies with colleagues, and consider ways to apply the framework to both classroom practice and professional documentation.

Who should apply:

UF Faculty (also open to Santa Fe, UCF, Seminole State, Valencia, and Flager faculty through CTL Super Center)
