2/14/2024 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Instructors: Becky Piazza and Olga Ensz
Location: 201 Bryant Space Science Center

Discover ways to design student-centered learning activities that transcend disciplinary boundaries while uniting learners with a common objective. Prepare your students for real-world challenges with the invaluable skill of navigating complex problems alongside peers from other fields. In this session, we will share a case study example of a successful interdisciplinary learning event. Then, we will provide time for workshop participants to incubate ideas for interdisciplinary collaborations between their courses. Throughout the workshop we will emphasize how research on teaching and learning can emerge naturally from your teaching practice and can become even more creative when working with faculty from other departments.
