Standards

The UF+QM Standards are divided into 11 “general standards.” These general standards address different aspects of design or delivery of online courses. The general standards are:

  1. Course Overview and Introduction
  2. Learning Objectives (Competencies)
  3. Assessment and Measurement
  4. Instructional Materials
  5. Course Activities and Learner Interaction
  6. Course Technology
  7. Learner Support
  8. Accessibility and Usability
  9. Instructor Team Presence (UF specific)
  10. Community and Relationships (UF specific)
  11. Feedback (UF specific)

Each general standard includes between 3-12 specific standards. These specific standards are assigned points that identify them as essential (3 points), very important (2 points), or important (1 point). Due to our licensing agreement with Quality Matters, the full rubric may not be made public. However, you may view the UF-specific general standards 9-11 and individual items added to other standards in this UF Items document (.pdf). The full UF+Quality Matters rubric is still accessible within the CREW course (Canvas login required to access the .docx, .xlsx and .pdf versions).
