The UF+QM Standards are divided into 11 “general standards”. These general standards address different aspects of design or delivery of online courses. The general standards are:

  2. Learning Objectives (Competencies)
  3. Assessment and Measurement
  4. Instructional Materials
  5. Course Activities and Learner Interaction
  6. Course Technology
  7. Learner Support
  8. Accessibility and Usability
  9. Instructor Team Presence
  10. Community and Relationships
  11. Feedback

Each general standard includes between 3-12 specific standards. These specific standards are allotted a number of points. These points identify the specific standards as essential (3 points), very important (2 points) or important (1 point).

  5. Participation is opt-in
  6. A state Quality Review Panel randomly audits a percentage of courses each semester

 

“Pay It Forward” Course Review Process

Pay it forward flowchart diagram. First the college identifies courses for review (may delegate to chairs). Second, the Instructor completes self review, (with ID assistance as appropriate) course map, export Ally report, provides most recent student evaluations. Third, the reviewer completes online workshop, reviews course, provides feedback. Fourth, upon successful completion of review process, the instructor takes the online reviewer workshop. Fifth, the instructor becomes reviewer and reviews two other courses.
